During the spring, Common App staff travel across the country to present educational sessions at different NACAC affiliate conferences. As part of these sessions, we have an opportunity to hear from a cross-section of admission professionals, public and private school counselors, college advisors from community-based organizations, independent counselors, and education consultants. In several sessions, counselors shared that while the Guide to the Application was helpful this year, in past years, they found the paper Common Application to be invaluable when conducting college counseling workshops, and in creating case studies.
In response to feedback from the counseling community, we have created a paper version of the Common Application to be used as an advising resource. This document is watermarked to indicate that it should not be mailed to colleges.
Common Application member institutions now have access to paper applications and school forms that they can distribute at their discretion.
